Lyricist Lounge
Founded in 1991, Lyricist Lounge began as a safe space for up-and-coming Hip-Hop artists to hone their skills, but quickly grew into a major platform and has become an intrinsic part of Hip-Hop history. Known for our ability to curate and showcase authentic, high quality talent, Lyricist Lounge has produced hundreds of open mic events, showcases and concerts, as well as three studio albums and an MTV series featuring some of Hip-Hop culture’s most iconic
names.
BierWax opened its doors in December 2017 and is the premier vinyl record craft beer bar in
Brooklyn. BierWax was one of the first vinyl record listening bars in the United States and is inspired by the vinyl record bars and cafes of Japan. It’s the brainchild of founder and principal owner Chris Maestro. Maestro was born and raised in NYC and became obsessed with hip hop and DJ culture in his youth. He started to collect records in his late teens and later fell in love with craft beer in his mid-twenties. BierWax is the marriage of these two passions, craft beer and record collecting, which is evident when you spend time at the bar.
